My host father in Thies told me that the reason the Senegalese dance so much and so joyously is to forget about all the problems they live with on a daily basis. They really let loose and enjoy themselves.

I go to the beach to relax and catch some waves. The Senegalese go to set their nets in the surf and make a living.
